We took over this contract after being successful in the procurement process and commenced in October 2024. We mainly work within the elderly community across the county of Gloucestershire, providing Minor Adaptations services. People of all ages with disabilities are also eligible for these services.
We have established a very good working relationship with the Occupational Therapists who refer into the scheme and the fact that we have Operatives and Office Personnel who are trained as Level 3 Assessors means that we can enter discussions regarding the works we are asked to do.
Working closely with OT Teams, we encourage them to shadow our Engineers, so they get a fuller understanding of options, outcomes and how we go about our work.
Commissioners are impressed with the more streamlined, efficient and cost-effective processes and practices we have introduced. We have taken the lead on promoting our new and highly successful service delivery model by doing live Presentation Sessions for all Stakeholders.
The scheme encourages residents to feel safer at home so they can retain independence. The scheme is also aimed at reintegrating people to their home after a hospital stay. The home needs to be made safer for their return. The scheme also has an element whereby we commit to 24-hour turnaround timeframes to facilitate prompt hospital discharge.
We are fully aware of our role in the process of freeing up hospital bed space and therefore easing pressure and A&E and ambulance service.

We send extensive reports on a quarterly basis which include ‘to the penny’ cost breakdowns, client feedback, case studies, any safeguarding incidents.
These reports are followed by Contractual Progress Meetings which are either online or held in the conference room at our Gloucester premises.
