Our South-West Team provide the ‘Handyvan Service’ for BCP Council in Dorset.
We work within the local community (mainly with people over the age of 60) and the scheme is aimed at enabling service users to remain living independently in their homes for the maximum possible timeframe.
The pathway into the scheme allows for referrals from professionals, from an array of organisations/agencies, regional support networks and self-referrals from Service Users themselves.
Our Team members carry out many different handyperson jobs around the home which address multiple different needs ranging from addressing slips and trips hazards to arranging any jobs around the home that require use of a ladder.
We capture extensive feedback with customer satisfaction surveys, follow-up spot checks and via third parties. Comments from Service Users are consistently excellent and many use the service several times per year.
Products we fit and services we carry out on this popular scheme include:
- Internal grab rails
- External grab rails
- Key Safes
